We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team!

This position is in San Antonio, Texas.

The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy (or foreign equivalent degree) plus knowledge in dispensing in pharmacy and be licensed with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Job duties include Review physicians’ orders; dispense medications; ensure pharmacy compliance with state/federal regulations; evaluate patient’s medical records/medicine history.

Responsibilities Include

Direct the creation of initiatives to grow retail pharmacy business .
Improve sales and optimize methods to improve margin dollars by enhancing reputation and positive image with customers in the communities we serve.
Develop and execute pharmacy operations communications to support the team and improve morale.
Instruct Pharmacists and staff on operations/initiatives of pharmacy programs to improve script growth and margin.
Provide recommendations to improve the efficiencies of the Pharmacy workflow.
Leads efforts to increase focus on healthcare services (e.g. patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and perform retail, clinical, or wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness) thereby promoting the shift of the pharmacy role from transactional to interpersonal.
Participates and assists in community events as requested..
Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance to regulations, company policies and standards. Responsible for establishing procedures that promotes the efficient workflow of the pharmacy.
Define and develop new strategic business opportunities.
Maintains current knowledge of information technology associated with pharmacy systems.
Establishing expectations and goals while promoting teamwork to optimize customer experience and staff morale.
Maintains awareness of developments in retail and management and pursues best Develops and maintains good relationships with local medical community including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. Reaches out to the community to promote the pharmacy business and further enhance growth opportunities.

Daily Responsibilities Include

Validate and fill new and refill prescriptions accurately and quickly.
Dispense and package medications under supervision of the pharmacist.
Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine and maintain inventory level
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintain records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
Answer patient questions and troubleshoot/resolve them promptly.
Assist patients with their drug therapy and pharmacy care issues to promote compliance.
Assist in streamlining communication with the patient, insurance companies, pharmacist, nurses, lab and other healthcare-related parties.
Work as part of a team to provide support to other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain current notes and paperwork related to the patient’s drug therapy and pharmacy care plan.
Perform all tasks in a safe manner that is consistent with corporate policies as well as state and federal laws.

Experience and Requirements

Accurate data entry skills.
Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Strong time management and organizational skills.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Lift and push or pull up to 10 pounds.
See objects at close vision and be able to identify and distinguish colors.

Qualifications

Contingent on passing drug test and clean background check.
High school diploma preferred.
Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age (or as required by state law).
Maintain information confidentiality as required by law.
Offer flexibility in work hour scheduling, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology, PharmD preferred.
Current state license.
Proven experience as a pharmacist
Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc.
Outstanding knowledge of Pharmacy Software System
Good organizing skills.
Excellent communication skills with a customer oriented approach.
Integrity and compassion.
Valid license to practice the profession.
Audit background is preferable.

As a Delivery Driver for Med Care Pharmacy, you will work in an exciting and fast paced environment, collaborating with Driver Coordinators to ensure that all deliveries are made in a safe, efficient and effective manner. You will act as a liaison between the facility staff and our pharmacy, delivering medications to the facilities with a strong sense of urgency. As part of the Med Care team, you will deliver top notch customer service and positively impact the lives of others.

Shift:Part-time evening shifts, 7:00pm-3:00am (varies depending on route); hours subject to change based on company needs.

Positive Summary

Work with Driver Coordinators when needed to ensure that deliveries leave the pharmacy at the appropriate time.
Document all work on an activity log, which include: deliveries in the correct order, cell phone usage, vehicle number and mileage.
Report status and any problems to pharmacy management.
Maintain company vehicles by cleaning inside and out, fueling, and reporting any mechanical issues immediately to management.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Cashier become an integral part of our team! Cashier needed for busy Pharmacy in Texas. Must be flexible with hours-available mornings and weekends.
